It's Sunday morning, and you and your family head off to church. You sit in the pews hoping to get enlightenment and understanding. You may be thinking that the man preaching the word before you is someone you can trust. After all, he is a man of God. He is someone who spent years going to school so he should know what it is he is preaching about.
But does he?
Have you ever gone to church, come home and looked up the verses your preacher spoke about? Did you read the full chapter to get the ulimate understanding about what he preached? If you did, then maybe you will understand what I am saying. And if you didn't, then I suggest you start doing so.
The following blogs will be about what he may not be telling you. You may find yourself rethinking the position of going to Sunday services, or you may just resent me for thinking what I think. Ultimately, it's up to you. It's up to you to give your explanation to God for your behaviors as a Christian. Eventually, you will be responsible to give an account of your life, your walk with God. You are responsible to know your walk. You will not have the opportunity to say, "But I didn't know." Or, "I assumed the preacher was right!". If you own a bible, you are responsible. Not anyone else.
And no worries because the person who deceived you will get his just desserts as well. Maybe even worse than most.
So with these writings, I ask you have you bible handy. I ask you look up these verses, study the context, read it with me. Learn so that when the time comes, you can hear, "Well done, good and faithful servant".
